I filmed and edited the final collage scene of my stop motion animation. I got everything set up, which was quick because I have done this a few times now. The time consuming part was figuring out the best way to move the items on and off the page, and slightly around the page. I ended up taking way too many pictures, but this isn’t too much of a problem because I deleted them in post production.
Here is my general process:
I am able to edit the brightness of the photography in post production. I usually film in the early morning, around 6 or 7 am, so my photos have a slight blue cast. I adjust the brightness in Lightroom, which is super fun for me, I feel like a photography girlie. However, I am currently writing this at 8:30 am, and there are sunlight strips across my filming area (and a big old cat but I’m used to that). I am going to have to wait for the sun to pass to continue filming…
I also filmed scene 4 and the closing scene (”The end” and credits).
I edited it all together. All the is left of the final collage scene are collage 1 & 2. I am going to film these ASAP (once the lighting is good) and then move on to the perfection collage scene. I will have everything filmed by Friday the 17th and then work on putting it all together with sound effects so it is ready for demo 3 on March 22nd.
